He would bring incredible competence, integrity, and creativity. He thoroughly understands economic development, and how it could be used to benefit Philadelphia, its neighborhoods and its people. In the discussions I had with him, he always spoke with passion on ways to help and improve the City and the lives of the people in it. I regret that I now live in Montgomery County and won't be able to vote for Andy. But I hope that those of you who live in Philadelphia will. Philadelphia City Council will be greatly improved with him on it.
- Gerrie Greene
He is a progressive, independent voice, with both vision and a track record of action improving our city. We need to elect Andy to raise the standard of our elected officials, and to have someone on City Council who truly understands what it takes to make Philadelphia America's Next Great City.
- David Feldman
When morning radio stations in the Philly area were bashing Latinos along with other ethnic groups, he led a charge to file protests and helped mobilize many communities of color to express concern and outrage. Andy is by no means part of the Philly "Machine". He is relatively young, he is an Asian American, he does not have a direct union affiliation, he is not a partner in a big law firm, he is not "sponsored" by one of Philly's big political bosses. Andy is INDEPENDENT, intelligent, young, progressive and like many of us wants to change the way Philly operates. We have a great city, but we desperately need great leadership.
- Francis Vargas
I believe the city of Philadelphia is at a "tipping point" and will go in one of two directions. It can continue to never quite reaching the potential that we all know this great city can achieve OR it can go forward and truly become the Next Great City.
In my opinion, Philadelphia cannot reach that plateau if it continues to experience inept leadership at all levels of government, from the Mayor's Office to City Council. As a retired military officer and war veteran, I long ago learned about the importance of competent leadership and the confidence people must have in their leaders.
It is because of this concern about the lack of leadership in Philadelphia now that I wholeheartedly endorse Andy Toy for City Council At-Large. Two things are required of a good leader. One is technical knowledge. One only has to look at Andy's resume to understand he is head and shoulders above the other Democratic Council candidates in experience in the public and private sector. The second thing an effective leader must have is a vision and the ability to convince people to "buy into" that vision.
As I have watched Andy these past months, I am convinced he has that vision. As someone who has worked for or with the Greater Philadelphia Urban Affairs Coalition, the Center for Literacy, the School District of Philadelphia, the federal government as well as many community organizations, I have seen first-hand the plethora of issues that confront this city.
We have entrusted this city long enough to those who have consistently betrayed that trust and confidence. It is time to elect someone to City Council that cares about Philadelphia and its people. It's time to ELECT ANDY TOY TO CITY COUNCIL.

The City needs new leaders with experience, vision and the will to honestly and conscientiously serve the people of Philadelphia. To endorse Andy is to endorse the future of our City.

It was Free The Schuylkill Rier Park's kickoff period - and he demonstrated what I came to term the ''Andy Toy perceptive and wise" strategic remarks. He made a real mark on me, even in the company of those 4 or 5 other Logan Square activist stars.
Vote for Andy !!
- Bill Marston
I had the pleasure of interacting with him regarding the WGCC (where I served as Treasurer) in the Brewerytown area along with Bob Seabury. He gave valuable input in connection with our Share Project and Farmers Market. He will be an outstanding addition to City Council.
- Emma Latimore
Andy knows Philadelphia's neighborhoods and he knows what it takes to improve them in a coordinated, balanced, and insightful fashion. He will truly support the city's redevelopment, particularly in those areas where opportunity has been lacking and where crime, litter, and urban decay have taken root. Andy is a strong leader and I hope Philadelphians look to him as a guiding light on Council.
- Troy Madres
I am delighted to see that Andy Toy is running for City Council-At-Large. I had the pleasure of interacting with him over a fairly long period of time during his tenure with the City's Commerce Department. He is will be an outstanding addition to City Council.
- J. Patrick (Pat)Moran
I have had the pleasure of working with Andy on many community issues, including riverboat gambling, zoning, L&I, and other issues that affect all of our neighborhoods. Andy is smart, strategic and a consensus-builder. He is just what Philadelphia needs to break free of the political paralysis that for too long has held our city back.
